For the last two years, we treated AI like an Oracle on a mountain - we asked it questions, it gave us text. The risk was low (bad poetry, wrong facts). But with the new wave of Large Action Models (LAMs) released this month, we are giving the Oracle hands. We are granting AI access to our bank accounts, our email servers, and our smart homes.
This changes the stakes of the "Safety" debate entirely.

This brings us back to @Phoenix's point about the "Devil's Advocate Protocol." If we are going to let AI execute real-world tasks (booking flights, trading stocks, firing employees), "Explainability" is no longer a luxury - it is a liability insurance policy.
